                                Generic Nolvasan (Chlorhexidine Glucanate)

Description: This safe disinfectant is used extensively in the animal care industry. It is a common disinfectant used topically on animal wounds, and makes an outstanding cage and cage furniture cleaner/disinfectant.  It is proven to work against at least 60 different bacteria, fungi, yeasts and viruses. Great for cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing rat cages, or any animal areas for that matter. Sanitizing your rat cages and furniture is an important step to keeping your rats healthy.

Why We Love It: Used weekly, it is an important step in our rats health. It is effective against such a wide variety of organisms, and yet gentle enough to use on the rats themselves. It is the disinfectant of choice for many animal professionals. And its great at getting the cages squeaky clean! We think it's the best and safest cage cleaner/disinfectant out there.

Directions:  Mix the concentrate with water per instructions on the bottle, do not use full strength solution. It is recommended cage & cage furniture are washed with dish soap prior to disinfecting, as the solution is more effective at disinfecting. Spray onto items to be disinfected, let set 10 minutes. Rinse solution from surfaces or wipe off with a towel. I do use the spray "dry", when I quickly clean cages without washing them first, and just wipe the solution off. It cleans and deodorizes well, but is not as effective as a disinfectant in this situation.

Starter Kit includes 16 oz spray bottle and 4 fl. oz of concentrate (makes 24 bottles)

Refill of concentrate options are 4 or 16 fl  oz
